Medicaid Crisis

Hello everyone, I wanted to update you all to let you know of a Medicaid Crisis that we have going on right now because I am not sure if everyone is totally aware.

As some of you may know that the NC Government is looking for reasons and ways to cut the state budget. One of the ways they are looking to cut the budget is eliminating Personal Care Services (PCS) for our elderly. PCS is a time based program that some of our clients receive, so if they eliminate this program, some of your clients will be unable to receive service.

It is important for you to all to let your clients know that they need to try to get their services switched to CAP (Community Alternative Program) so that they can still receive services. Also, if you want to try to contact the Congress in Raleigh, give them a call. The more we all contact them the more likely they are to try to help our loved ones!

If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to give the office a call (704) 971-4600.
